<META name="keywords" content="
type your keywords here">

Some web spiders are "CASE" sensitive. For example, if you type in "book" at Altavista you may receive 5,300,000 hits but if you type in "Book" you may only receive 1,300 returns. A more useful list. For the most part you will receive returns with the word Book in the title but also sites that have "Book" in their Meta Tags. The spider will consider "Book" and "book" as different words. Therefor, a better meta tag would be like the following:

<HEAD>
<TITLE>Sam's Book Nook</TITLE>
<META NAME="Author" CONTENT="Sam's Books Incorporated"> <META NAME="GENERATOR" CONTENT="Mozilla/4.76 (Win98; I) ">
<META name="description" content="The best prices on the planet earth on over 250,000 books">
<META name="keywords" content="
books, Books, book, Book, bookstore, Bookstore, Calendar, calendar">
</HEAD>

Webmasters at some Search Engines and Directories recommend that you consider whether or not there may be a common misspelling of a specific word that is included in your Meta Tag. If so, you may want to include a tag word that you deliberately misspell. In this matter I think more in terms of typo's and not spelling itself although many english words are regularly misspelled. Don't completely forget about multiple spellings of the same word. If a person types in a misspelled word that you have included in your tag you are almost guaranteed to be #1 or #2 in the web search return. Certainly worth considering. The Tag below includes all of the subjects we have covered.

<HEAD>
<TITLE>Sam's Book Nook</TITLE>
<META NAME="Author" CONTENT="Sam's Books Incorporated"> <META NAME="GENERATOR" CONTENT="Mozilla/4.76 (Win98; I) ">
<META name="description" content="The best prices on the planet earth on over 250,000 books">
<META name="keywords" content="
books, Books, book, Book, bookstore, Bookstore, Calendar, calendar, bok, Bok, Boook, boook, Calender, calender">
</HEAD>

Be sure to begin your tag with < and end your tag with > otherwise your description and keywords will show up on your web site.
